Chicago Pedestrian Plan

The Chicago office of Sam Schwartz Engineering (SSE) has been awarded a major public sector contract by the City of Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT). The City of Chicago Pedestrian Plan (Phase II) will be a physical and policy tool for the advancement of Chicago as a world class pedestrian City. SSE will work directly with the Mayor’s Pedestrian Advisory Council to help craft a vision and pedestrian philosophy for the City. The process will include extensive public outreach in order to equitably prioritize public improvements for public safety, travel and enjoyment. The project is planned to take about one year to complete and will include an interactive project website and a graphically illustrated final plan.
