SSE's civil design team provides technical expertise as a project takes shape, then creates detailed construction plans to realize the vision. We work in both urban and suburban areas to improve travel conditions and efficiencies for motorists while minimizing the impact on the surrounding environment. Designing intersections that improve traffic flow and safety, including, where appropriate, roundabouts, is an SSE specialty.

Our expertise extends beyond the pavement, however. We also design greenways, bike paths, sidewalks and multi-use paths that allow people to get around without a car. For commercial clients building on private property, we determine the best layout for traffic circulation and safety. By creating safe, pleasant environments for people to travel through, we encourage repeat business for these clients.
